Hatch Training is working in partnership with an established property inventory management company to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice to join their growing team.
This isn't your typical office-based administration apprenticeship!
As a Trainee Property Inventory Clerk, you will travel to different properties across Birmingham and the West Midlands, carrying out inspections and producing detailed reports using digital technology.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification whilst developing practical skills, working independently and building a career within the property industry.
What Will You Be Doing?
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Travelling independently between properties across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
- Collecting and returning keys to letting agents.
- Carrying out property inspections, typically completing 3–5 reports per day.
- Producing detailed digital property reports using handheld devices.
- Taking photographs and accurately recording the condition of properties.
- Recording gas, electricity and water meter readings.
- Checking reports carefully to ensure all information is accurate and completed to a high standard.
- Managing your workload to ensure reports are completed within agreed timescales.
- Occasionally meeting tenants and landlords at properties.
- Communicating professionally with customers face-to-face, over the phone and by email.
- Responding to customer queries and helping resolve any issues.
- Using your own judgement and attention to detail to identify and record important information.
You will spend approximately 90% of your working time independently, so being comfortable working alone, managing your own schedule and taking responsibility for your work is essential.
Please be aware: This is an active and physically demanding position. You will be on your feet for much of the day, moving between properties and carrying out inspections.
